With such a treasure trove of original and independent design in our backyard, we're working with three east London and local design experts; Dezeen, the Londoneer and Katie Antoniou, author of London Plinth and Run Riot to uncover the unexpected, unusual and unique.
These three Londoners will hunt down arts, fashion, jewellery, sculptures, furniture, photography or textiles, to bring together 30 hidden gems from in and around Stepney Green, the heart of east London's arts scene.

katie, london plinth / run riot
style & fashion Katie lives and works in London where she edits arts and culture guide Run-Riot. She's written for The Guardian, The Sunday Times Style and Time-Out, whilst also working as a stylist for many emerging female musicians. She co-curates art and fashion collective Gabberdashery and is a patron of Culture-Label. Originally profiling East London creatives for Dazed Digital, she has gone on to work with many of them, championing both individual artists and collectives from the area.visit the collection

www.genesiscinema.co.uk Opening in October, the Stepney Green Design Collection comes to the Genesis Cinema on the Mile End road. Theatre & film have been in Stepney Green since 1884, with the site hosting several plays and preimieres over the years with casts including Charlie Chaplin and the East End's beloved Barbara Windsor.
Cinema, coffee house and gallery space all in one, Genesis is always worth a visit especially with their mid-week ticket offers.
